Qwerky Events

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This policy explains how Qwerky Events uses your personal information when you visit qwerkyevents.com, book a brunch, buy a gift voucher, hire from us, join our mailing list or get in touch. Qwerky Events is a trading name of Brunch Club Limited (registered in England and Wales, company number 17354469, registered office Unit 7 Victoria Enterprise Estate, Victoria Avenue, Peacehaven, BN10 8HJ). We are the “controller” of your information, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (registration number ZC274225). Questions about this policy, or about your information, go to bookings@qwerkyevents.com.

What we collect

When you book: your name, email address and mobile number, how many are coming, your packages, food choices, any allergy notes, anything you’re celebrating, your guests’ names if you add them, and whether you’d like our news and offers. At the door we record when your ticket was checked in.

If you book on another website (Eventbrite, FIXR, Skiddle, Design My Night or BottomlessBrunch.com): that website sends us your name, email address, phone number (if you gave one) and your ticket details, so we can put you on the guest list and look after your booking.

If you split the cost with friends (“pay your share”): the friends’ names and email addresses you or they give us, and who has paid.

Gift vouchers: the buyer’s name and email, and the name, email address and message for the person receiving it.

Hire (flower walls, silent disco): your name and contact details, the delivery address and event details, the name you sign the hire agreement with, and the internet (IP) address it was signed from, as proof of the agreement.

Enquiries and customer service: what you tell us by email, our contact form, phone or WhatsApp, including any files you send.

Waiting lists and our mailing list: your name and email address, and the discount code we give you when you join.

How you found us: if you answer “How did you hear about us?” when you book (it’s optional), and whether you booked with a friend’s refer-a-friend code or a partner’s code (for example a hen party planner or hotel).

Payments: card payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. For hires and “pay your share” bookings, Stripe keeps your card on file so we can take the payments explained when you booked.

Our website: see our Cookie Policy. In short, essential cookies only, unless you click “Accept”.

To take and manage your booking, issue your ticket, and send the emails that go with it: your package details, a reminder before the day, any changes, and afterwards a request to review us. Legal reason: contract (we need it to provide what you booked).

To keep you safe on the day: telling the venue’s kitchen about allergies and dietary needs. Allergy information is health information, so we only use it because you chose to give it to us for this (your explicit consent). You can ask us to remove it at any time; please then tell staff on the day.

To answer your questions and complaints, and to keep a note of serious problems at our events (for example, someone being refused entry) so our team and guests are kept safe. Legal reason: legitimate interests (running a safe, well-run business). You can object to this.

If you start booking but don’t pay, one reminder email about that booking. Legal reason: legitimate interests. We never send more than one.

Emails about new dates and offers, to guests who have been to one of our brunches and to anyone who joined our mailing list. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and once you unsubscribe we won’t send you any more. Legal reason: legitimate interests (keeping in touch with our guests about similar events), or consent if you joined our mailing list.

Measuring our adverts and improving the website, only if you accept cookies. Legal reason: consent.

Showing our adverts on Google, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram to people who have booked with us before, joined our mailing list or been in touch with us (and leaving past guests out of adverts meant for new customers, or finding people with similar interests): we may upload your email address, phone number and name to Google and Meta. They are scrambled (“hashed”) before upload, used only to match you to an account you already have with them, and then deleted. If you unsubscribe from our emails or ask us not to, we leave you out. Legal reason: legitimate interests (telling people who know us about our events).

Photos from our events: if we have a photographer at your brunch, we put the photos on a private web page for that event’s guests and email them the link. Ask us and we’ll remove any photo of you. Legal reason: legitimate interests (sharing the day with our guests).

Refer a friend: every guest gets their own code. If a friend books with yours, we link the two bookings so we can send you your reward, and the reward email tells you your friend’s first name. If you book with a friend’s code, we check you haven’t booked with us before. Legal reason: legitimate interests (running the offer you chose to use).

Partners (for example hen party planners, hotels and Airbnb hosts): if you book with a partner’s code or link, we note it so we can pay them their commission. Their private sales page shows your first name, the date and how many are coming, nothing else. Legal reason: legitimate interests.

Our prize draw: guests at qualifying brunches are entered automatically. We use your booking details to pick and contact the winner. Legal reason: legitimate interests.

To keep proper business and tax records, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations. Legal reason: legal obligation.

We don’t make decisions about you by automated means alone.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with the companies that help us run Qwerky Events, each under a contract to protect it:

Stripe (payments), Vercel (website hosting, London), Supabase (our booking database, London), Resend (sending emails), Google Workspace (our email inbox and documents), Cloudflare Turnstile (checking forms are filled in by people, not spam bots), and Anthropic (an AI assistant that helps us draft replies to customer emails; it doesn’t use your messages to train its AI, and a person always checks and sends the reply).

Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receive website and advert information only if you accept cookies, as explained in our Cookie Policy, and scrambled contact details of our customers and mailing list for our adverts, as explained above.

The venue (Legends Brighton) and our performers and staff on the day get what they need to run your brunch, for example names on the guest list, numbers and dietary needs.

The other ticket websites above, when you booked through them, so they can see the booking is honoured.

The police or other authorities, only when the law requires it.

Some of these companies may store information outside the UK (for example in the USA). Where they do, it’s protected by safeguards the UK has approved, such as the UK–US “data bridge” or the UK’s standard contract clauses.

How long we keep it

Bookings, payments, gift vouchers and hires: 6 years after the booking, for tax and accounting. After that we delete your name and contact details.

Allergy and dietary notes: deleted 30 days after your event.

Unfinished bookings (you didn’t pay): 90 days.

Waiting lists: until 30 days after that date.

Enquiries that didn’t turn into a booking, and customer service emails: 2 years.

Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. We then keep only a note of your email address, so we don’t email you again.

Keeping it safe

Your information is stored in London on secure, encrypted systems. Only our team can see it, each person signs in to our booking system with their own account, and staff who work the door can only see the guest list. Payments are handled by Stripe, which meets the card industry’s highest security standard.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it or stop using it, or to send it to you in a form you can pass on. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time, and you can always object to marketing. Email bookings@qwerkyevents.com. It’s free, and we’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113), but we’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Children

Our brunches are for over 18s only, and we don’t knowingly collect information about children.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if anything changes, with the date at the top. If it’s a big change, we’ll tell you by email.
