Christmas Party Ideas in Brighton for 2026 (For Groups of 10 to 100)

Brighton does Christmas parties brilliantly. There's the seafront, the bars of Kemptown and The Lanes, and a lot of places that know how to throw a party. The hard part is choosing.
Here are the ideas that work best for groups, from 10 friends to a 100-person office do, plus a few questions to help you pick.
1. A Christmas drag brunch
Yes, we're biased, but it's the reason we exist. A drag brunch gives you a show, food and drinks in one booking, so there's nothing else to organise. Live drag queens host, sing and run the games, and even the quietest person in accounts ends up singing along.
Ours run on Saturday 5, 12 and 19 December at 2pm and 5pm, at Legends on Brighton seafront: 2.5 hours, with 90 minutes of bottomless drinks, from £42.50 per person plus a 4% booking fee. Every 2nd ticket is half price until 30 January, or groups of 20 or more booking online get the organiser's place free, whichever saves you more.
2. A traditional Christmas lunch or dinner
Turkey, crackers and paper hats. Plenty of Brighton restaurants and hotels run set festive menus for groups. It's the safe choice, and it works best when you add something afterwards so the night has a second act.
3. A comedy night
Brighton has a strong comedy scene, and a comedy night is great for groups who'd rather watch than take part. Book early, as Christmas shows sell out.
4. Karaoke
A private karaoke room takes the pressure off: only your group hears you. It's great after a meal, and perfect for teams who secretly all know the words to the same Christmas songs.
5. An activity bar
Crazy golf, darts, bowling or shuffleboard. A bit of friendly competition breaks the ice for teams who don't usually socialise together, and you can drink at the same time.
6. A class: cocktails, cooking or crafts
Learning something together is a good team builder, and you go home with a new skill (or at least a good story).
7. An escape room or treasure hunt
These are best for smaller teams of competitive people who like puzzles. Split into groups and make the losing team buy the next round.
8. Bring the party to you: a silent disco
Got a big office, a function room or a village hall? A silent disco turns any room into a party with no noise complaints, and everyone picks their own music channel. We hire out silent disco kits across Brighton and Sussex.
9. A seafront walk and pub crawl
Low budget and very Brighton. Walk the seafront, stop at the pier, then work your way through a few pubs. It's best for small groups with a clear end point, so nobody gets lost.
10. Give something back
Some teams swap a party for a volunteering morning, then go for lunch together. It's a nice option if your team wants the day to mean something.
How to choose the right party for your group
- Budget per head: decide whether it covers food and drink, or just the activity.
- Numbers: a karaoke room might take 12, while a drag brunch or a venue hire can take 100 or more. Check before you fall in love with an idea.
- Day and time: weekday evening, Friday after work or Saturday? Daytime parties mean everyone's home at a reasonable hour.
- Who's coming: mixed ages, people who don't drink, people who hate being picked on. Choose something everyone can enjoy, and check the venue's alcohol-free options.
- Access: ask about stairs, lifts and toilets before you book. (Legends isn't an accessible venue, and you can read our access details before booking.)
- Getting home: Brighton station is a short taxi ride from most of the city, but plan it.
